What is holding you back from moving forward?

hypnotherapy for confidence, motivation

How many times did you tell to yourself: “I can’t do it”, “I am not good enough”, “I am not smart enough”, “I am not pretty enough”, “I am not ready”, “I will fail”…

We all have this thoughts from time to time, but for some people it’s a constant self-talk that stops them from living to their fullest potential. These thoughts are automatic and deeply embedded in our minds, but we have to remember that these kinds of automatic thought aren’t rational or based on facts. Usually these are messages we believed in when we were children.

These messages determine how we deal with life, how we feel about ourselves, if we take the steps to fulfil our dreams or not… or even if we dare to have any.

Overcoming these thoughts is very challenging. Quite often one stop remedies and affirmations won’t work. You may find that every time you say to yourself “I love myself” your inner critical voice from subconscious responds: “You are not worth it!” and it makes you feel even worse! But if positive affirmation doesn’t work then what?

Don’t get me wrong, affirmations do work! But there is something else you need to do to prepare a good background for affirmations, so they can blossom!

In order for your subconscious to believe it, it needs to feel safe and loved! There are many different parts to us, each of these roles once received messages from the outside about themselves, about how we were as a partner, employee, business owner, friend and these notions have stayed with us… We can change these messages by revisiting past experiences, evaluating what we have heard and experienced. The most important is to start with the smallest part of us – our inner child. By connecting this very important part, which might be forgotten, sitting sad, hurt and lonely in a dark corner ,we can give it the love and attention it really needs. See in your minds eye a little girl or boy flourish under the influence of love and care. And you, and only YOU are in position to do that! It is never to late, your inner younger self is waiting there for you. It might not be easy, it’s a process. So give it time and space for trust to develop, be patient. It might be a game changer!

With the use of hypnotherapy we can access your subconscious mind and target the root cause of these automatic thoughts, low self-esteem or lack of self-worth and allow you to break free from your negative thinking pattern.

All these basic messages relate to our self-esteem, our feelings of self-worth and self-love. Although our confidence level differs from situation to situation, our self-esteem remains constant.

Negative feedback, traumatic experiences, loss, change, relationship problems, failure… they all can have a significant impact on our self-esteem, they diminish our sense of trust in others and more importantly in ourselves. Additionally people with low self-esteem are more likely to experience: depression, anxiety, helplessness, lack of motivation, lack of assertiveness, critical self-talk and many more.

Through repetitive thinking and constant negative self-talk you taught yourself how to feel about yourself and your abilities, but there is hope, you can reverse it! With hypnotherapy you can take it one step further as you will work not only on a conscious level, as all past experiences are embedded in our subconscious. They may remain silent but yet… they influence your everyday life…

Moreover in a state of hypnosis and deep relaxation we are more receptive for new messages, new positive suggestions, our mind’s defence mechanisms drop and we can bypass our critical mind.

So you know you are ready to change your life and you want to see how hypnotherapy can help you. What can you do?

The first option is visiting a hypnotherapist, it might be helpful if your situation seems to be complex and you don’t really know where to start. Your hypnotherapist will help you to identify the root cause, which is the most effective way.

Another option is self-hypnosis (I will create a separate post about self-hypnosis and how to do it at home, step by step), it is a very safe and pleasant technique, similar to meditation. You can try hypnotherapy recordings as well, which are available online. With hypnotherapy recordings you simply follow the therapists voice, relax and open to new positive suggestions.

I hope you find this article helpful.

PS. Remember, you have more power than you think!

With love,
